Bardock is also shown to share his youngest son's ignorance to concepts unrelated to fighting as Bardock notes how Gine's belly was smaller indicating he doesn't fully understand how pregnancy works. Unfortunately Muezli was killed by the Heeters leaving Granolah an orphan who grew up to hate the Saiyans for their part in the invasion.ĭuring the brief flashback to when Gine introduced Bardock to their newborn son, Gine wonders if Raditz will be jealous he has a younger brother and it is revealed Bardock was the one who named him Kakarot. It is revealed that Bardock found Granolah and his mother Muezli, but couldn't bring himself to slaughter them due to being reminded of his wife and their newborn son, Kakarot which spurred him into helping them find shelter with another survivor, Monaito. Gine makes an appearance in the flashback that shows the events that lead her husband to save the lives of the young Cerealian Granolah and the Namekian Dragon Clansman Monaito during the invasion of Cereal by Team Bardock (consisting of Bardock, Leek, Taro).

As she was not cut out for fighting, Gine went on to work at the meat distribution center on Planet Vegeta. This caused her to develop romantic feelings for him, which Bardock eventually began to return and the two grew to have a special bond. While she was a part of that team, Bardock routinely saved her from many dangers on the battlefield. Gine used to be a member of Team Bardock. Like her husband, she has no problem referring to her son by his adopted name, Goku, though she does call him by his birth name when she first meets him. Seeing how strong he has become, Gine decides she wants to do something to help her son while noting that Bardock would probably tease her for being overly sentimental. After Goku comes to her rescue, she worries about him when he is attacked by Yamma while asking if she is alright, though she is shocked when Goku stops the attack. Her refusal to stand by while these men were plotting to kill a fellow Saiyan is quite similar to her son Goku, who is well known for his willingness to protect innocent people and animals. She is shown to stand up for her fellow Saiyans when she overhears some fighters plotting to crush a Saiyan before they can transform into a Super Saiyan and become a threat, however she ends up being badly injured. In Dragon Ball Fusions, she nearly reveals herself to be Kid Goku's mother when she encounters him in the Timespace Rift, though reconsiders and decides to keep their relationship as mother and son from him much like her husband does when he meets Kid Goku. She is also shown to be proud of Raditz for being assigned to invade a planet with the Saiyan Prince Vegeta, showing that she loves both of her sons. However, despite her gentleness, she is shown to be protective of her youngest son, as she briefly argues with Bardock about sending Kakarot to Earth as an infiltration baby, knowing it is dangerous. Even more, she developed a genuine union of companionship with Bardock a rare case for Saiyans, who normally do not develop male-female relationships except for breeding purposes. Gine had a gentle, kindhearted, pure heart, loving, cheerful, energetic and caring personality similar to her youngest son and both her grandsons, and because of that, she was not cut out for fighting. In Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden, she wears pink battle armor with blue armbands.

Like all Saiyans in her respective universe, she naturally possesses a tail, which unlike most adult Saiyans, she lets sway freely rather than securing it around her waist, however this is due to it being common practice for Saiyans to let their tails loose while at home on Planet Vegeta, as wrapping it around the waist is primarily a battlefield practice as even Bardock is known to let his hang loose when at home in Dragon Ball Minus, Broly, and Dragon Ball Super. She wore a sleeveless black bodysuit and dark green combat armor highlighted with bronze and outlined by white, in addition to purple armbands and white boots. Her hair bears a resemblance to her eldest son Raditz', except much shorter and with bangs.
